Again, please just report one of their posts, not all 468 of them. In fact, do us a big favor, and reply to their thread "Reported" when you do, so that EVERYONE knows it's been done. Multiple reports actually slow us up as we investigate each and every report.

Brilliant idea!! Let's try and make that clear to folks going forward re: reporting spam. We should look for a post showing it has been reported already before reporting ourselves. And also reporting one thread per offending account is sufficient.

You guys are great! We need them reported, but the sheer volume of the reports is sometimes larger than the actual spam. :D :D :D

And often cleaning one name brings up others. This morning, I re-cleaned some names, not because that was nnecessary but because in a couple of cases, that action popped up 1-3, new spammer names and I could clean them on the spot.
I'm not sure if your experience is some odd artifact of the board software or the external bots, but I have a thought which might or might mot be helpful.

Premise: If the bots are monitoring to see if the accounts that they create are deleted\blocked, triggering them to create new accounts ...

Action: Can the accounts be masked so that all posts are automatically pushed to invisibility by other users but still visible to the initiating account, similar to the way new classified posts are handled. Let the bots think they are getting their message out by letting them scream into their own little private hells.

I wouldn't have any idea how to do that.

For these bots (or their current configuration), couldn't you automatically block anyone mentioning **** in any of their first 10 posts?

Edit: the shop name was replaced with stars, but the super annoying state subsidized trash-exporting company with aggressive marketing:)

And of course they've switched to using alternate character sets now to avoid *that* filter.
