I'm going to the Mayan Riviera in March 2007 (yes, that is some months away!) and I will probably stay in Tulum or thereabouts and dive cenotes and reefs with operators in Playa del Carmen , to try something different from Cozumel.

I've been looking around for dive plus spa packages, hoping to find a good package where I can dive in the morning and get pampered in the evening (massages, yoga and so on). Are there any places that offer something like a partial spa experience? My understanding is that most places are holistic :)flush:) in their packaging too, but one would think that the large population of divers visiting the area would prompt combination packages.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

There are a few shops in the Tulum/Akumal area, and a few of the Hotel/Spas have on site Ops as well.
The standard dives in that area are single tanks dives, scheduled three a day, and once at night. You can do a morning dive, enjoy other activities during the afternoon, and then do a night dive.
The Cenote dives tend to take up more of your day, but they are incredible.
Look at www.locogringo.com You can get links to Hotel and Spa websites, as well as dive shop websites in each area of the Mayan Riviera. Those websites will give you info on package deals, etc.
