I had the same problem as the OP with my mk17/g250v in 32F water, my LDS changed a lot of parts in the second stage but it did it again. The last time it happened to me was in about 100 feet of 39F water. Now I dive sidemount and I bought another mk17 but I did put a used ATX50 on the first stage that I had problems with. So that last time it happened to me the "faulty" g250v was on the brand new mk17 and did the same thing. What I did when it happened that last time was to switch regulators, close the valve for a minute and open it again, it worked ok for the rest of the dive. It never happened with the ATX50, when I buy again, it will be Apeks. Recently I relocated and dive warmer waters so the problem is gone for now.
