Southwest Florida or Charlotte County Dives

Hello,
After doing some research online I’m having trouble finding a charter or business that can take my husband and I on a dive. We are from MN and only have a few dives under our belt so we would want to go out with an instructor/ divemaster or group. Everything I have found seems to be locations that just rent out the equipment or an expensive full day private tour. Does anyone have any suggestions? We will be in Punta Gorda, Florida but can drive within an hour or two. Looking for mid-September. Thanks!

West Palm area is 2.5 hours away. Lots of charters out of that area. Many of the regular boats you can request a private DM to dive with.

Hey, Sarah. You can check with Fantasea (Jim and Julie Joseph) at (941) 627-3888, or Terry at Depthfinders (941) 766-7565. Both are great local shops. I also would, while you're in the area, check out fossil diving out of Venice, which is ~30 minutes north of here. Easy dives, 20'-30' depth, and you can find megladon (and other) shark teeth and other fossils.

There are several good charters, some of whom are on this board, and will probably chime in.
