Missing diver found dead off Sanibel Island | S.W. Florida Daily News
Update: US Coast Guard units report that they have recovered the body of the missing diver. An investigation is still ongoing.
-----------------------------------------------
The Coast Guard is looking for a missing diver about 18 miles west of Sanibel Island.

On Wednesday morning at 10:50 am, the call came from a recreational boat that a 52-year-old male diver had never surfaced again. The US Coast Guard’s St. Petersburg Command Center dispatched a crew of helicopters from Clearwater and a lifeboat and crew from Fort Myers Beach to search for the missing diver.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Cape Coral Fire Rescue, and Estero Marine Dive Team are also looking.
