We are currently at SCC. I know most go to lcbr but if you have any questions let me know. We will be here for 10 days. Trip report upon our return. Bill

Are they and lc fully recovered from the last big storm?

80 %. Sister islands not hit so they sent teams to lc. SCC lost 1 of their 2 dive boats. Lcbr list 2 of their 4. Or so I was told. Still some clean up and resort and boat repairs. We see some spots that need attention but they did a great job

I spoke to LCBR the other day and they said they would run 3 boats there, and same at Brac. I guess it will be a bit tight on board.

Most divers on our boat was 8 the 1st day. 6 divers next 3 days. Always 2 dive masters in water. Split into 2 groups. SCC should have other dive boat back 7 to 10 days. SCC not for everyone but we love it here

Keep an eye out for a hammerhead. Saw one this past May. My first. Very exciting. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at SCC and hope to return in 2026.

Keep looking. I've seen one a few times off the north shore of Grand Cayman, once in the sand at Sunset House, and once at Jackson's wall on LC.

No hammerheads today but week is young 😀. Higher winds from north east so south side diving. Waves about 1.5 feet max but very doable and a couple of great dives. LCBR seems to have more hard core divers so we found it funny that us old folks went out while LCBR canceled their dives. Not sure if it's true but was told the boat captains (fairly inexperienced) were afraid.) We're all about safety and never felt unsafe. Us old folks can still hang! If ur going to LCBR may want to check what it takes for them to cancel a dive day since it doesn't seem like much.. Peace....out.
