The reefs were hit hard. I was only able to do 4 days of diving. 3 on north side and 1 day on south side. Vis on north side was only 50 to 60 ft. Corals and fish life adversely effected by hurricane. South side had a great abundance of juveniles, more than we have ever seen. Lots of algae but not many parrot fish, only a few cleaning stations. It’s still the best diving we have found in Caribbean but not as pristine as 2 years ago.

I think Mike is about 11,600 dives. His dad got sick and he rushed home but his team did a great job.

This may have been my last dive trip. I broke a previously broken rib. This is 3rd time I have broken same rib same place. I don’t even know when I broke it and that’s worrisome. Dr doesn’t think it’s healing properly and is weakening. Love diving but love living more. Returned home Sunday night, was taken to ER Monday in extreme pain. Blood pressure tanked to 68/38. I’m only 66 and been certified since 1978, knew time would eventually catch up but sure am sad. Time will tell

The day will come for all us. I started diving about the same year. When my day comes I hope to be able to look back on all the amazing experiences fondly and without sadness or regret.
