First we are told the markings are:
M8303. 02/1321/ 051 TC-3AAN-184/DOT-3AA REE 70. SCC/85
And we are told the tank diameter was not measured, but rather the boot....so it could be 7 or 7 1/4.
Then we find out there are more markings, like mfg (although the M8303 already denoted that) and 2400 (rather important!) and hydro dates...so now we know the material (steel), the age (2006), the working pressure (2400), the diameter (7 or 7 1/4), the tank length (26 to 27 1/2, still unclear), the mfg (Faber), the corrosion protection (white "enamel" but probably epoxy), and maybe the size (85).
Anything else you've not told us?
How about weighing it?
if it weighs about 31 pounds (no valve) I'm going with a Faber LP85, now being sold by Blue Steel.
Blue Steel Scuba - Cylinder Specs
I think the SCC/85 means it was a Sea Pearl-distributed Faber. OMS also distributed the tanks (with an OMS marking) and now Blue Steel with a BS85 marking.
