Last week I was the bug. At least it wasen't too bad, I made a killer grab on a round label RAM, the case was a little rough in spots, but the hoses and mouthpiece were in fantastic condition. I was going to just do a rebuild on it, but decided that for what I paid, why not rechrome the cases? I split it open, to tear it down, only to discover that it was actually a DA in sheeps clothing! DAMN! For what I paid it was a bargain, but not the RAM I thought it was. The cases will be ready on Tuesday, and with the modifications I want to do to it, it will end up being a RAM anyway, but the moral of the story? Be careful when you get vintage gear, wether it's an honest mistake, or a straight up dirty deal. You can get slapped down with something that is not what you paid for, In my case, I still paid well below what going price for a DA would be. But if you get one on ebay, where the current prices are pretty much INSANE! You can get taken. Don't rely on a label for security!
