You and I dive in the same area. I am divorcing myself of the H brand and am considering the VDH 35LB wing. It looks like a bigger version of the Oxycheq 30lb wing, which I did not really like and definitely does not have 30lbs of lift. Have you been happy with your VDH35? How well does it trim out and how well does it vent gas? Do you have any lift capacity concern? My Eclipse 30 will not hold my rig afloat with 6lb of trim weights on my cam bands, a scubapro SS backplate, SS cam bands, and a fairly small light canister (UWLD-26). I am considering an OMS32LB wing as well.

I’m very pleased with both of my VDH wings, 18 and the 35, both have more lift that rated. Reaching rated lift has some correlation to the backplate design, I use mine on my Freedom Contour which has plenty of room for expansion.
I dive dry, as most Monterey divers do if they dive often and use my suit for boyancy, I dove wet at Catalina a few weeks ago and it trimmed fine, enough so that I never really gave it any thought.
It dumps air as quickly as anything else I’ve tried.
I had the OXY 30 and it seemed to fall short of rated lift with my rig at the time, it would probably do better on the FP.
The VDH wings are a rare bargain in the diving world.

Same result here. My #18 and #35 both exceed their published lift capacities. You won't find a better deal on a new wing, with such high quality as VDH offers.
