Hello,
I punctured my BCD on the side, by contact with a sharp edge of a wreck.
The hole is about 1 mm.
This is a BCD without an internal bladder.

I am not sure if I will be able to reach the puncture site from the inside.

What would you recommend to do?
Thanks for your advice !
Frédéric, Europe

Find a material similar to the outer shell and cut a patch about 1 cm larger in each direction than the hole, then glue it over the hole with Aquaseal. BC’s aren’t normally inflated to high pressures where you’d be blowing it out.

I would remove the entire inflator mechanism so that you have a decent option of dealing with the interior of the bladder. I then would try to apply some sort of backing in the inside and then apply a small amount of Aquaseal to temporarily seal the puncture. Once set and dried, I would inflate the BC and spray some soap water to verify a good seal.....(like when checking for a gas leak). Then once verified I would then apply a full patch onto the exterior. A patch similar to that is used for inflatable boats.

Thank you all. I will first let it fully dry exterior and interior. Aquaseal seems to be named Aquasure in Europe, for the same product.
Have a nice day !

[Edit: problem solved]
