The day really started rather early for all of us, in fact 3:30am was no time to be at the airport. But there we were, queing for the Tacloban counter...

and after an hour and ten minutes of flight time, we were on the tarmac for a group pic. Well sort of...larry quickly dashed off to the terminal exit for a smoke

here he is...after a stick all is well again.

By the way, did I mentioned the pilot misapproached the runway? thick clouds enveloped Tacloban that day. Anyway, here's a scene outside the airport...

On our way out of Tacloban we happened to pass by Palo, Leyte where the Macarthur memorial was. We stopped and tooked these...

ok, office meeting done...
to continue.....we were now 1,000 km from Manila. Hard to take pics when the van is traveling more than a 100kph and the driver wearing a bandana! His name ain't Bambi...

here we are making a pee stop....How's my driving? he asked.

finally arriving in the resort around 10:30am and surely wasted no time accomplishing the needed documentations. Half of the group did a dive around 1pm while the other opted to catch some sleep.
