I agree with the others that the RGB lighting is really not going to be a draw for most people.

The two things I’d really love to see for some differentiation:
- A light with a battery size somewhere between the 1x 21700 or 4x 18650 sizes that are common. A light with 2x 21700 would be a really good weigh/size and allow for better runtime

- A better attempt at a combo spot/flood light. One interesting approach I’ve seen in other lights is to keep the good-quality single LED emitter (like the SFT70), but surround the rim of the light with a series of smaller LEDs with no reflector, which work as a good flood light. See the Nanight X1 and Tecline Teclight as good examples of this. Having 2x 21700 batteries could enable a slightly higher current draw to allow for a really bright and effective flood.

The Sofrin SD09L is a dual 21700 light. it uses 3x SST40 emitters. I have used as a primary on a few dozen dives, but the extra length is a bit cumbersome on the wrist after a few hours. I don't like the push button control scheme (I like the twist on the SD05 etc) and also don't like the lockout. The beam spread is a pretty good compromise between enough spot for clear signals, but enough flood to see around.
I think my wishlist would be a single XHP70.2 with a twist off / low / med / high control like the SD05, with a double 21700 setup parallel(shorter and fatter) to keep the light short on the wrist. Add in the USB-C charging feature of the wurkkos DL06.

I am pretty much describing the Wurkkos DL10R (which I currently dive with) but run time is only 90 minutes on the single 21700.
 
I changed the LED in the SD05 and got a ~5 degree Spot with a bit of spill and roughly 60000 lux @1m distance. As soon as I get the test sample of the SD08 I could show a comparison.
Now this interests me, a SD05 with a ~5 degree spot would be amazing, wold you be willing to give a quick guide on how you did this and what LED you used?

Oh yeah, I meant side-by-side 21700s, the extra length of two in series is completely impractical.
 
Will you be making a version without the RGB? RGB is not something 99% of divers would use.
Yes, of course. We also did the SD05, SD06 earlier. The SD08 is the first bold attempt to combine the dive light and beacon light together. We hope it will get wonder effects.
 
The X AXIS is a timer, 1.1 seconds for each record. The Y AXIS is the current measured lumens for test light.
Sorry then I do not believe these diagrams.

Lumen is the total flux emitted. You say that its 3200 Lumen LED. Even if you neglect all absorption due to reglector and glass (different mediums), you would measure by nominal current 3200 Lumen. Maybe bigger, but only in a Turbo Mode with a higher current. However you also need like 9 to 10A for this to happen with this configuration, so it will not last long, especially with the discharge behaviour of the battery.

Of course you can have measure higher Lux values, that is the Lumen per Square Meter, in the spot by focussing. The 3200 Lumen is typically an even distribution for about 65° opening angle.

Typically you want to have at least 10k Lux for the spot in 1m distance at the end of the useful burntime, 5 to 10k is "ok" for a backup situation.

So just by math this does not add up to me. And btw why a factor of 1.1s per record. Inget thats probably the measuring rate of your device. If you want to show that to public, please make the axis useful...
