In my quest to find new and different stuff to dive... the thought came to me. Theres a number of lakes in SoCal... I wonder if its worth diving any of them?

Anyone have any experience diving any of the lakes in SoCal? I know alot of classes are done in Lake Perris, how about ones in the San Bernardino Mts? yeah I know its illegal to dive in Lake Arrowhead, but surely someones done it... ;)

From what i am hearing Lake Parris is a last resort to those of us that live within 1 hr of the beach. That doesnt mean i wouldnt dive there. I was thinking of diving it when the local beaches surf is 6+ and surf entries become too dangerous.

As far as the best Lake in California i would say its Lake Tahoe. I have dove it 20 or so times and it was beyond great. We were at 200' at Rubicon wall with another 200'+ below us in crystal clear turquose blue water with visability good enough to see the other side of the lake. Ok maybe the vis wasnt that far, but it sure was sweet.

Andy
