I have a pair of blue dry gloves similar to the Dry-5 that I made with a spare pair of wrist seals. Instead of using bungee or tubing, I put the glove liner on before I put my arms in my suit.
I used to leave the thumb loops of my undies in place to allow the wrist seals to vent - that's until someone pointed out that I'd have a hard time shoving the loops back into the suit in case of a glove flood.
Actually had to "pull the cord" this weekend, when my glove got a "pinch flat" against a scooter handle. Worked very nicely: I didn't get much water into the suit in the first place. And it was piece of cake to remove the glove, pull out the "vent cord" and reinstall the glove.
