Smith Lake, AL

Talked to a diver friend of mine who has a place on Smith Lake. He said the temps this time of year are really cold and there is a hard black layer at about 15' with terrible vis below. He says conditions really improve in June and suggests we hold off until then. He may join us at that time. He is also checking with some diver friends of his that dive the Lake often for some good sites.

I would say waiting to go with folks who have knowledge of the area would be well worth it...
