Smart Com diving computer question

Hey guys great forum,

After looking at forum for a while i have decided to jumo in and learn some tips and tricks...


My first question is about a diving computer i recently came into possesion of for payment of a debit.. (100 dollars)

I received a Smart com diving console unit... But i have recently discovered it has been recalled....

The website has no updated info and the registration page is disconnected, this unit seems to be no more then a yr old but the recall was in 2003 so im hoping ..lol..this isnt or has been already taken care of but no where am i able to see if it is or not.

the local dive shop told me call manufacture which i have and left a voice message a few days ago..but still no reply...

I already have a DC so im in no hurry but this unit looks pretty neat..I am a noob but all these cool gadgests got me all fired up to play with

Also has anyone used this DC and if so what are ya thoughts...

I have 2, one for me and the wife. Probably one of the best computers made with more info than you will ever need. Has a pretty good software package for downloading your dives into. We have been using ours for a year now. Good luck.

talked to a human and found out it wasnt in the recalled batch..WOOT WOOT

been in the pool for a few and it works great...
