Anyone know if there would be any problems laying them down behind your computer? AFAIK, those are usually brushless DC motors, so there shouldn't be any ozone to worry about, and you might as well get some use out of that waste heat.
 
The PC should not bother the boots but the boots may stink up the office.

This is the hard time of the year for drying gear. In the summer the heat helps and in the winter the humidity is lower than a snakes belly button. At this time of the year moisture is not to motivated to move.

In NE salt water is not a factor but in ocean situations removing as much salt as possible is also very imprtant for effective drying.

That's so very true and funny! :rofl3:

Sometimes we used Rapidyne (iodine) solution before drying because the scent coming off some booties was enough to curl hair.
