I've napped on deco more than once. You don't really fall into a deep sleep, more of a doze off sort of thing.

Used to do the same some years ago, but stopped because there was always someone who went amok and thought I had passed out... I do hate nasty moralizing chat back on the boat.

Many many times, clipped off on the not-moving 15' hang bar under the massive displacement Nekton, tethered up, Seacure mouthpiece, absolutely out cold.

Dreaming.

She says I do not appear to have testicular cancer. She is also not amused. Story of my life.
Did she mention anything about your third testicle or does it not bother her anymore?

I like to think that diving is like meditation at times I can see how people could drift off. I feel asleep after a mid shift on my motorcycle with the throttle locked at about 80mph only to wake up after drifting over a lane and onto the rumble strips on the shoulder.

Whoa that's scary.

Thirty years ago while spending a week on Rum Cay my buddy and I were the only two clients one trip out. We returned to the anchor line to find our dive master asleep with his arms folded around the anchor line. He would drift up and down as he breathed.

I'm not surprised at the amount of people napping I get sleepy while waiting or just mucking about looking for treasure. Diving is supposed to be done when you are relaxed and it is a relaxing sport afaic.therefore falling asleep should come naturally when your relaxed and comfortable
