Yes indeed - will do!No probs. Once you get it, it might be an idea to report back here as to whether the LM hose works as a replacement for the Sitech valve. Could help others in the future.

Probably not!Yeah, I don’t think you are meant to clip your DPV off to your tinkle valve.
I guess to answer your specific question, I measured in-between the barbs as 0.31" or 7.9mm with my calipers. The 5/16" fit well after softening the ends with hot water.Would one of you mind measuring the external diameter of the (brass?) hose barb that is on the P-valve itself? Seems like the way to go is to firstly replace the wire-reinforced hose that Sitech provides as it both cracks (leaks) and also the ends look pretty dodgy to me when the hose barbs of the quick disconnect are inserted into it - expands the hose too much. Because it is so hard to get stuff in Australia I will get a roll of norprene tubing and also a heap of quick disconnects - seeing as Sitech are selling them with horrible hose and an on/off valve instead of a quick disconnect.
Cheers - and 5/16" hose makes sense as 5/16" is 7.94mm - and I would describe the barbs on the brass hose barb as being a fairly aggressive profile.I guess to answer your specific question, I measured in-between the barbs as 0.31" or 7.9mm with my calipers. Pretty much any neoprene marine fuel hose will workThe other thing that I am now working through is the tubing - after doing a bit of research it turns out that "Norprene" isn't a type of tubing but rather the term Norprene covers a wide range of tubing that has various different uses - and properties - including ones that are important for our particular end use such as bend radius and resistance to kinks. I'm working through that now to determine which is the best "Norprene" tubing for our application.
5/16" fit both the cath side and pee valve side when heated in hot water for a minute or 2.Cheers - and 5/16" hose makes sense as 5/16" is 7.94mm - and I would describe the barbs on the brass hose barb as being a fairly aggressive profile.
So working through the problem in reverse from the Pee valve end (as we can't change the size of the brass hose barb that is fitted to that) - this is what we know so far -
- at the Sitech Pee valve end we need 5/16th hose to go on to the brass hose barb.
- therefore at the hose end of the white plastic quick disconnect we need a 5/16" hose barb as well (because the hose obviously has to be 5/16" or else it won't fit the hose barb at the Pee valve) - and because a 5/16" (7.94mm) I.D. hose probably isn't going like being stretched to take a 3/8" (9.53mm) hose barb - which is probably the reason that the Sitech wire reinforced hose looks far too stretched on the barb of the white plastic on/off valve that they supply - the Sitech hose is almost certainly going to be a 5/16" hose as it needs to fit the brass hose barb on their pee valve - a 3/8th hose would be far too large and wouldn't seal on the brass hose barb.
So the question now is - what diameter hose barb is needed to fit the catheter end? Do all catheters have the same diameter tip and take the same diameter hose barb? @Boarderguy mentioned in the third post right at the start of this thread that a 5/16" hose barb wasn't the right size to fit the catheter and so for whatever brand of catheter he uses it seems like a 3/8" tip is what is needed - on that size of the white plastic quick disconnect. This probably explains why Sitech supply a 3/8" on/off valve even though the hose they supply is a 5/16" hose to fit the brass hose barb on the actual pee valve.
To put things another way - does anyone have catheters that require a hose barb of any different size to 3/8" ?
And seeing as we might as well solve all the world's problems while we are at it - ladies - what size hose barb is needed for the She-P ?
