For the record I have used trigon valves for about 10 years and never had an issue with the hose so don’t go off half cocked thinking it’s going to fail, don’t sweat the bulge from the disconnect

This one is my oldest one, si-tech sent a replacement as an upgrade for the old type balance diaphragm you see, it was the only flaw in the design in that the exposed mushroom valve could be disrupted by rinsing with to much pressure (if you have one like this on an older suit, anyone, contact Si-tech and they will send a replacement) I can only assume Border guy damaged his in one of his legendary “over familiarity” situations with his DPV, although I would have been less surprised if propane Rob had done it since I hear he dives with one hand inside his suit to “comfort” himself;)

Yeah, I don’t think you are meant to clip your DPV off to your tinkle valve.
Probably not!

I'm still not impressed with that wire-reinforced hose that Sitech supply, and given that they supply a on/off valve instead of a quick disconnect it makes sense to replace all the bits that I think need replacing all at once.

Hopefully @Pat S can measure the diameter of the hose barb on the actual P valve for me and then I will get everything ordered - along with a ton of extras.

Keep the old one, when your replacement kinks or crushes and you blow the catheter off from back pressure you may want to use it again. It’s not wire wrapped it’s a nylon or something spiral that is coated with whatever. You can order quick connects from Seaskin, I use the simple kind without any check valves, others prefer check valves, you don’t want Seaskin make that decision for you

I just replaced my sitech pee valve hose with 5/16" ID clear vinyl hose. Cut a generous portion to loop from pee valve up to waist band and over to my junk and it's been great for the last 3 dives.

I added 2 small zip ties to the pee valve size to ensure it doesn't slip off, but from the amount of force and heat required, there's little chance of that. I soaked the hose ends in hot water for 5 minutes before slipping it on both ends.

Would one of you mind measuring the external diameter of the (brass?) hose barb that is on the P-valve itself? Seems like the way to go is to firstly replace the wire-reinforced hose that Sitech provides as it both cracks (leaks) and also the ends look pretty dodgy to me when the hose barbs of the quick disconnect are inserted into it - expands the hose too much. Because it is so hard to get stuff in Australia I will get a roll of norprene tubing and also a heap of quick disconnects - seeing as Sitech are selling them with horrible hose and an on/off valve instead of a quick disconnect.
I guess to answer your specific question, I measured in-between the barbs as 0.31" or 7.9mm with my calipers. The 5/16" fit well after softening the ends with hot water.
