Is someone able to accurately measure the outside diameter of the hose barbs on the quick disconnect that comes with the Sitech Trigon P-valves these days?

On the Trigon that came with my Seaskin Nova that just arrived… it came with an on/off valve and not a quick disconnect.
If it helps, that one measures at .415” or 10.55mm.

I order a quick disconnect with 3/8” barbs that had the same outside measurements and could not get them in. Soaked the hose in hot water, used soap to lube them, I finally got them started but it was stretching the hose too much for my liking. I went to a 5/16” barb and it fit well. Snug enough I’m not worried about it coming loose, but not overly tight.

I wonder if they are shipping with a hose that is slightly smaller diameter now?

3/8" work well IF you use a hair dryer or hot air gun on the hose.

My first time putting it together i just muscled it together. When I had to repair it I used a hair dryer and it went together like a dream. I tried hot water to no avail.

5/16" would probably fit better but that isn't the right size for a cath and I wanted to ensure I had the right size for that one.

Many thanks @Pat S . Does this look like the hose that came with yours? You can see how much the end of the hose has expanded to get the quick disconnect end into it - it doesn't look like it went in without a fight! (photo taken from the Sitech website).

Yes. That looks like the hose on the one I received.

I'll take a couple pics when I get home of mine and the repair i HAD to do. I ordered a norprene hose to replace the spiral wrapped rubber sitech hose.

Mine does not.
OK. I'm not convinced that sort of hose is really the right hose for the job. It's not going to collapse or kink easily - but its not a great option for fitting hose barbs etc into either.

Besides Light Monkey who else makes Pee valves? I might take a look at what hoses other Pee valve manufacturers are supplying with their kits.
