Nobody seems to be able to give a straight answer...Supposedly a quota was put into place last month, along with the increase in park fees to a daily charge. Meaning there is a limit on the number of divers allowed at Sipadan per day.

Now, if that's true, then late bookings are going to be difficult, and locally booked day trips impossible in peak season. If all resorts in the area are full, then surely some divers would not be able to dive Sipadan. When booking people, the resorts ask us to send customer information including passport details as quickly as possible to ensure they get a permit for Sipadan.

Anyone got any info, anyone had a problem with this? Anyone been and not been able to dive Sipadan?
