Single Supplement Alternative for Sipadan/Kapalai

Hi fellow divers, I am looking to book a trip to Sipadan/ Kapalai in may 11-15 5 D/4N and I am travelling alone. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what my best option would be, without having to fork out an aram and leg for single supplement rate? Anyone have any success with getting the single supplement waived? Any suggestions very welcome, including if you would like to twin share with me for that period to get the cheaper rate. Single supplement...what a ****ing scam.

Can you imagine if you went out for dinner and they said, "oh - table for 1? We charge an extra $40 if you have less than two people at your table. I trust that will be fine."

well, at Kapalai you can book half a room. Since it's not high season possibility is given to have your own room. That's the only way (I think) except you find a room buddy.

Most of the Kapalai / Mabul / Sipadan resorts can pair you up with another single diver in order for you to waive the single supplement. So unless you insist on having your own accommodation, you can enjoy the same per person rate as a couple.
