Hey keep it clean...this is exactly why they 'fear'....hmm....wonder if that is the right word....ok maybe that is exactly why I'm sure the board has had reservations about giving us a singles forum in the first place! (I guess too much diet sprite and turkey is a forum fatal combination! LOL!!!)

As for you Medic13.....why didn't you post on my thread for singles and how they spent Thanksgiving??? Inquiring blondes want to know??? LOL!!!

I'm all for a singles forum. people can get together for some diving have some fun make a friend and if something happens after that great if not you still have a dive buddy and a friend. so whats wrong with that ?

omg did you read some of seajays and ravens post lmao anyways

i am all for the singles thread maybe a secret lock like the mods room so only singles can see, to TRY and keep others out anyways if not then everyone who is single just keep posting new threads in non-diving related stuff not saying it is not dive related but it will keep it out from under the noses of the people who are against us...

Yes there have been instances of people getting carried away and my guess is that is what the mods are worried about. To their credit...it is probably hard enough trying to survey all the diving related threads let alone the non-diving related threads so I'm sure they are hesitant to add to an already cumbersome workload! Even if we police our own...a singles forum by its nature will warrant more observation and therefore more work. Maybe we can form our own set of 'forum cops' to monitor the thread IN ADDITION to the real mods! I'd be up for it......I'm sure others would too!

As for posting under NDR...yep...we will continue until something changes and there is an alternative place to post!

I think we don't really need a singles forum.Wat we can probably do is start a thread where all the single divers can go in and maybe give a short description of themselves and that way get to know each other via private messages. just my two cents worth.Btw i'm single too.

A thread of that nature gets long and the posts in the middle get passed over. People's situations change. A forum has the opportunity to keep things current. A series of such a thread inside a singles forum is a good idea. A thread instead of such a forum is not.
