Hey Max Speed, one point I would mention. (Purely a design issue) Back mounting with a SMS 100 is a PITA. The tank bands don't fit well, with or without the single tank adapter. And yes I tried. Had to mod an old mares plastic bcd plate to hold the tank securely.

What? I've never had a problem backmounting on an SMS100. It's literally the same as diving a backplate, for all intents and purposes. What trouble did YOU have?

The book screws holding the wing to the harness come into contact with the tank. Not a problem for my old steel tanks. But I used it backmount on vacation, and did not want to rip the finish off the dive operators al80s.

As I bought the rig for sidemount, it is not a real problem. Just thought I would mention it.

Never had that problem with the screws. I back mount a lot with mine. No adapter.

Maybe replace them with plastic screws?

Plastic screws are a fine idea, wish we had spoke before I wasted time modifying the bdc plate.
Worst part is I have at least 3 sets of plastic book screws.
I will give it a try the next time I back mount the rig.

Thanks.
