The specs seem pretty similar between the HP133s and the LP108s, so I am giving my opinion of the LP108s. On the surface they suck, freaking heavy tanks. Once in the water my LP108s have been diving like a dream. I am even starting to prefer them to my LP85s because the larger diameter seems to hold my stages in better than the 85s, where they try to get to slip around my 85s.

I still use my LP85s though. Might get a second pair of LP108s for trimix stuff.

I am pretty confident that my HP100's and LP85's are 7.25"
If you measure your Faber LP85s and show me that they’re 7.25”, I will personally Venmo you $20. I ask that you reciprocate if the inverse is true.

I didn't realize that we were only talking Fabers. I don't own any Fabers... just Worthington's and PST and something else, but no Fabers

A fair distinction. I was referencing the only 85s available new these days. It does seem I was errant about Faber 100s though; 7.25”

In that case my PP is rob.mwpropane@yah ....:rofl3:

jk... I really don't want your $$... I learned something new.

Personally I would never buy new, but that's just me.. what do they go for nowadays? Like $700 / tank?

I ended up buying some HP100s used at $100 per tank. Came full with 3500 psi of nitrox 32. 2018 hydro, but they're PST tanks which means I need to hydro them by the end of 9-30-2022 to be on the safe-side. I added some SOLAS tape for fun (last photo).

Duuuuuuuude, I would have killed for those tanks! Hen's teeth ....

And at quite a bargain!! I have all PST HP3500 100s & 120s, but they have the 7/8 necks. You get all the benes, but with 3/4" necks!

Hydro is standard 5 year interval. Just be sure that your hydro-shop has the manufacturerer's specific "round-out" procedures for those tanks so they don't accidentally fail/condemn them.

What?
