Thanks, your setup looks very similar to Edd's one as well including the weight under the shoulder D ring.

Yes, but I modified mine to the loops a few months before he did...

I came across it after hours of internet searching and decided to try it. Same thing with how I used to rig my stage bottles before my most recent rigging.

My SMS 50 bungee attachment looks very similar to Rob's - but I assure you that seeing Rob's rig had nothing at all to do with my shameless stealing of the idea. :D

I like the quick link idea. I am going to give that try.

Ahhh so this isn't monkey see monkey do, it's monkey pretend not to see but monkey do lol!

The quick link idea is good. I have that on my Armadillo and Razor. I'm just too cheap to get some for my Nomad. LOL! Actually, I keep forgetting to order more and what I've been doing works.

I can understand that completely!!!! lol. Funny, I don't use quick links, bolt snaps, or any other way of attaching the bungee loops on my UTD setup. I do use a double-ender on one side if I am doing single tank, but normally nothing. Argh. I am starting to hate side mount. All the tinker and "I think I'll try that!". Grrr. Ahh hell, who am i fooling? That is part of the reason I love it!

I like to use something because I've had the loops get lost behind me. The line you see in those photos costs pennies. I buy it in the marine section of Walmart - 45' for about $5.

Yeah, I have 550 cord coming out the ying yang. I might give that a try as well.

I'm new to sidemount and just setting up my first rig. I had the same question as the best way to attach the valve end of the bottle to the rig. Can someone please give me a better explanation as to how this system (bungee), attaches around the valve.

Regards,
Steve
