Those weren't my pictures...I just cleaned them up a bit.

JDMerk, ,maybe you can share what it is you cleaned up. What is typically needed and how you make the determination? If you don't mind? I'm sure many of us would like to know.

These pictures were taking with the dc1000 for the first time today.
The 3 photos were taken at Hens and Chickens in Islamorada with about 35 feet of viz in 20 feet of water

Thought I would post a few more from my recent Cozumel trip taken with the now deceased Reefmaster Mini and digital strobe. I have already been to the LFS to check out the DC1000 as a replacement.

When I say I cleaned them up I mean mainly that I adjusted the color and light levels. I did this in photoshop 7 (PS). Honestly with these I just used the auto levels function which does all the work for you. It took just a few seconds...although PS is an enormously powerful tool and can do much more, this just gives a good starting off point and I find it works fine for general pics.
As for the determination I could just see it...I mean as good as these pictures were to start off with didn't they look a little muted with all the dark blues and purples? I just brought out the "pop" a little.

These were taken with a new DC800 without flash in Cozumel,(April 8-16, 2009) I took about 300 pictures, not bad camera.
