Thanks Drew. We are leaving on July 31 through August 10. So is that Summer or Winter for GC?
I know its hurricane season so I am somewhat prepared for some bead weather. Do you know what "hurrican season" in GC is like? Is it tolerable?

The Cayman Islands are in the Northern Hemisphere and summer seasons tracks the same as in the United States.

July and August are most definitely summer here. Expect warm temperatures to the upper 80's with lows around 80 each day. Winds are typically more moderate in the summer so expect winds anywhere from 5 to 15 giving a sea state of 1 to 3 foot waves in open water. This would be considered slight to moderate seas.

Winter months (December to March) have stronger winds and a sea state of 5 to 7 feet is not uncommon then.

Winds drive the waves and affect sea state. Since winds almost always come from the east, the island blocks the waves and makes for much calmer seas in the west side on the island almost every day.

Weather during hurricane season is usually lovely... unless there is a hurricane. A brief and intense afternoon rain is common and usually passes within 15 minutes.
