@2th DIVR i know people shore dive Venice for sharks teeth, if they don't go to the ledges then where do shore divers go looking for teeth?

I've swam out from the public beach to a depth of around 18'. I'd estimate I was 300 yards off of the beach. I didn't find any sharks teeth, but I did find a horse tooth, which to me is just as cool. I can't tell you how far you'll have to go, but I can tell you it's farther than I went. I've been out with the charters and have found a lot of stuff. For me it's a 5 hour drive, so if I'm spending the money to get there I'm going to spend the money and go out with a charter. If I lived close by I would certainly dive the beach occasionally.

There are tons of places to go in Venice to look for teeth.

I recommend the group: Venice Fossil Divers
I learned tons from that series of threads and have gotten to accidentally bump into a number of the posters while hanging around the beaches/showers/sharky's.....
