A few weeks ago, we did a dive at Presque Isle Park. After scaling the rocks with our gear on it was one of the most beautiful shore dives I've ever done. My question is does anyone else regulary dive here? I believe we dove "Black Rocks" (not sure though), and would be intersted to know if there are any other sites around there that have something interesting to see.

We put the boat away and really enjoyed this shore dive. Looking at going back in the next few weeks.

Thank you!

Google shows a number of presque isle... can you be more specific? Depths etc.
I would really enjoy a new shor dive? What town is it near?

Thanks
Rich

I use to cliff dive off the black rocks there and would regularly see divers or dive flags there. Most people entered from the lower parking lot where it is all rock and an easy walk into the water. Viz was great in the water there.

Black rocks is one of my favorite spots to shore dive...I have logged around 50 dives there when I was in school at NMU. Lower harbor wall is cool along with the COVE...that's right at black rocks parking lot. You can get some awesome depth off of black rocks also...Another place to try is near the pavailian at the end of the park in that sheltered bay. Not very deep but still a lot of fun. Pinic rocks where the PEACE sign is painted on the rocks offshore on lakeshore is also a nice easy dive. Also get permission from the coast guard and dive the pipeline...Viz is usally always great at the cove, black rocks and the pipe line. Lower Harbor wall is fun junk dive. If you got time try a night dive at each spot....A lot of fun!!! Good Luck hope this helps.

Yeah i'm hoping to get to take a vacation next summer up to the UP and do some diving around the Keweenaw...I've checked out most everything up there on land and above the water....now time to check out below the water....
