I'm trying to plan a trip down to the "strip" (Jupiter to Miami) near the end of July.
The goal is to do an overnight and try some shore-diving.
Where should we be going in order to have at least two different shore dives within close distance?

You know - if we go to Lauderdale By the Sea, is there really just one reef to see, or are there a variety of shore dives to do?

Or should we be staying somewhere else - WPB? Boynton? Pompano?

Where, on the strip, can you find the most variety in nearby shore-dives?

Thanks

Check out post #2 on this thread. If you want to get a little bit of variety, you can do Lauderdale By The Sea first (Datura or Hibiscus - it's the same reef system and a very nice and easy shore dive) and then go South to Dania or Hollywood and do either the Eurojacks (just north of Dania Pier) or the Yellow Brick Road/Rock Pile (Slightly southeast of the Johnson St. Parking lot on Hollywood Beach.

Be sure to bring your dive flag, as boat traffic can be pretty heavy. You might also want to follow the activity in Private Trips, since members of our group can usually be found at the above sites on most weekends. Buddying with the group is a great way to meet people and to get the most out of the sites.

Good luck and safe ascents,
Grier
