Hey Folks
How safe is it to ship a regulator set after assembly over International courier? Is there a risk of dislodging or ruining some finely tweaked internal mechanism and settings if the package is thrown around?

Thanks

Maybe, maybe not, I shipped a very fine Dresden doll once, arrived mint, because the packager is mint

No worries!

I once decided to puff puff but forgo'ed (sounds fancy) the pass and I was good as well.

So in summation everything will be Irie.
Pearlman you good to go mon.

Then of course with all things being as they are and the whole times the infinity it will equal to everything is gonna be alright. At least that's what Bob said.

Try English mate if you can manage to pull your head out of your arse

Pot meets kettle.

Back to the OP's question. There is nothing in there that will become dislodged during normal levels of abusive handling. It would take something bad enough to physically damage the packaging.

Remember that these are shipped from the manufacturer to distributor to store already assembled. And many are shipped out and back for service.

FWIW, my current regret consists of a new old stock first stage that was sent via DHL from Italy (to Chicago) and a pair of used second stages that came via USPS from Tennessee. All arrived in fine condition.

It just depends in the care in the packaging. Dislodged? Not likely. Smashed, cracked, or broken? Possible. Pack it well....

I ship regs within the US all the time to where I have them serviced and then they are shipped back. I’ve never had an issue. As long as they are packed well there should be no issues. The only issues with shipping internationally may be customs and paperwork but that is a different matter entirely.

Ok, I imagined that an non-assembled regulator sold would be all parts exploded and packed separately (think Meccanno) which would require specialised tools only available with a service technician. Now somebody told me that assembled means only fitting the hoses after greasing the O-Rings… so a DIY job with a wrench and Allen key… Is that right?

Do not overtighten the hose to the 2nd stage.
After that you have to attach the assembled 2nd stage to the 1st stage.

Thanks for the heads up. Will search for online videos to make sure I do it right!
