Sherwood Wisdom Temperature Log

I find it kind of funny that my computer takes almost 15 minutes to register the temperature at the bottom of a dive and doesn't actually show a sharp thermoclie but rather a gradient. Does anyone else with a Sherwood or any other dive computer have this issue?

Here's a screenshot of my dive profile and temperature. You can see how the is taking it's sweet time registering any temperature change.

I have the sherwood wisdom also but only have the software that came with the computer and as you know it only shows mininum temp. What software are you using ? I like the fact of temp graph. What other features do you get with that software ? Also where you I get it and at what price ?

The Wisdom has a pretty bad temp lag, but then so does every other computer I have ever used. The problem is that the temp sensors are either inside the case or at least attached to the case, so the whole unit has to cold soak before you will get a totally accurate reading.

Great software you have there - light years ahead of what I got with mine. Is the dashed line at 58 ft average depth? That would allow calculating the SAC for the entire dive. Where did you get it? And more importantly, where can I get it?

Hi guys,

I use Scubase for my dive software. The software that came with the Sherwood download cable isn't all that great as you already know. You can take a look at Scubase by going to http://www.scubase.net/. You can see tons of screenshots and download a demo or purchase. I'm a programmer by nature and I'd have to say this software is engineered with excellence. I've seen more graphically "pretty" software but no other dive software will allow you to add your own custom fields, produce dive groupings based on any criteria that it holds, etc.

I have to download the data from the computer into the Sherwood program as normal and then Scubase will import the dive data from the Sherwood program. There's a lot of data that is downloaded from the computer that the Sherwood program doesn't show but Scubase does. The only thing that's missing that I would like is to see a graph of the tank pressure during the dive.... but the computer doesn't monitor that so I'm guess I'm stuck without it.

The dotted line is the average depth and Scubase automatically calculates your SAC after you tell it what size tank you dove with.

When the software and D/L kits first came out for the Wisdom all my freinds said I hould do my own version, but since my area of expertise is flight models and flight sim software, not dive computers and data bases, I declined. Nice to see there are now much better options.
