I don't follow. Is it the same tank just reclassified? What happened to the extra 4 cuft?

Off-topic question: how late were J-valves manufactured? I was somewhat surprised to see that the tank had an '86 date on it; most of the tanks I've seen with J-valves on them were manufactured in the 70s.

XS Scuba still makes them but they are stupid expensive. I just rebuilt two to keep on tanks for use with my vintage regs because it is ever so much cheaper, even though parts are hard to find or make.

Just picked up 7 S67 tanks, born 1996.

If anyone has the specs for these tanks, I would appreciate it. Can't really find much info on them.

Thanks for the advice, Silly. I took some photos and put it up on CL. We'll see what happens.

XS Scuba still manufactures and sells them. Primarily for the commercial market because there are OSHA requirements for reserves is what my understanding is. Aqualung still makes them in a twin Manifold for the U.S. Military because they still use them. Both are somewhat pricy. Last time I checked on a J-Valve rebuild kit from Aqualung I was quoted the price of $90. To rich for my blood, but Uncle Sam can afford it.
