This reminds me of a BIG discussion on a Belgian scuba dive forum. The OP's question was "I'm going to do advanced nitrox and maybe later tech diver... what do you think about the Suunto EON STEEL". Well... that opened a can of worms
In that case it was a recreational computer branded and repackaged as a technical computer (except they forgot the little things like the computer could still go in error and the proprietary model that isn't very usefull for tech diving).
At least in this case no matter who buys the thing with AI, they'll get a very very good (technical) divecomputer, with some added (non?)technical functionality I don't care, but if they can sell more of their technical computers to recreational divers they generate more turn over and profit and will hopefully keep improving their products for us customers... tech and non tech alike.
