There was almost no surf and the vis was at least 30ft. Your forecast is right on the spot. Thanks.

Edmond

Good to hear things went well. What did you guy's see "animal/plant wise"? What is the reef structure at Leo like? Any pics?

Sorry for the late reply. I think it is kinda of similar to Shaw's Cove in term of plants and animals but not as plentiful. It is my favorite so far because of it's facility. Yes, you do have to pay $10 to park at the beach but you have clean restrooms (actually smell good) and showers. You just need to walk like 50 ft from your car to the water. If you choose not to pay, you can just park on PCH and walk down to the parking lot. I think the distance is about the same or little longer than Shaw's Cove.
Can you provide the forecast of this Saturday morning? I assume it is not as good as last week, right?
Thanks.

Edmond

Your assumption would be right Edmond. There is a very strong swell coming in Wed and will last all the way into next week. I checked out the lola and its really not going to be diveable. 5@9sec's from the southwest and 4@10's from the west. Its gonna be swampy out there, if you surf or body board.... this weekend will be great. But def. no use in diving. :shakehead:

OC doesn't look as hard hit but its still going to be iffy conditions. There probably won't be any good conditions anywhere in the southbay this weeked. The island shadow on the westside of Catalina is holding, so alright conditions could possibly be found at Casino Point. But personally I wouldn't risk it. Your best bet would to be dive after next Wed/Thurs when conditions become much more calmer. Also a pretty measurable amount of rain will be falling this weekend so water conditions will be getting dirty. Overall it doesn't seem the right time to be diving anywhere.

you are right. I concur. Mt high then.......

There you go! Snowboarding action it is! Why no Bear or Summit? Another hour and you get WAY better slopes;)

I am not a big fan of big bear or snow summit, to me, it is 200% driving, not 200% reward.

I smell a jibber!
