Ummm... you folks do realize that the Gulf of Mexico has one of the largest and most diverse shark populations on the planet???
Heather, hush! You'll have every flatland tourister in the whole country descending on us... I still think I should have blown that Ono bridge away back when they laid the first piling in '65. :D
Rick

Hey Rick, speaking of Ono. Have you ever found any of those dummy bombs they used to find in Ole River? The military used to use that as a target practice area.

When I was a boy we all had practice bombs as anchors on our skiffs. We had 'em by the hundreds.
If you want one they're in garages and boathouses all over Perdido bay - if you want a lot I expect a metal detector in Old River will yield as many as you can carry.
Rick :D

they wash ashore ocassionally, but like all smart cops we call the fire department...lol....we have to treat them like they are live explosives.........

I can see this post is getting out of hand, A cool head seems to be what is needed here. For many years the population of Pleasure Island as a whole for the past twenty years or so has come to the point of needing to rely on the Tourist and the Snowbird . I know this to be a fact I have been told time and time again by them if it wasn’t for us you all would have nothing and uneducated Red Necks:confused:

Oh Hell Yea !! Blow them bridges But wait what about the Bikini clad tourist? I sure would miss the skinny dipping service calls I get by owners wives complaining about wild women :eyebrow:

I could do without the tourists, my livelyhood doesn't rely on them. The people's who's livelyhood DO rely on them were more than likely doing something else before the island got so damned busy - it wasn't THAT long ago... 25 years or so?
