Thanks for the pic Scott. I promiss it wont be part of my back drop for my computer screen.

Was it a seal? good question it seemed to have 2 tiny feet-flippers at one end. We came upon it by chance. Its a memory I wont forget for the rest of my life.

I'm still trying to figure out what possessed your captain to drag that thing on board. Did he really think a shark would be attracted to something that decomposed? I mean lobster pot bait maybe but shark bait? I didn't think sharks were that much of a scavenger. I know they'll eat carrion but I thought it had to be a little fresher than that.

I guess he made an error in judgement. We had plenty of chum and quite a bit left over that we never used. I feel it was totally inappropriate to have used that what ever it was. I agree it was for the lobsters. No one questioned him since he seemed to be the authority.

Thanks,

I've been looking for a good pic to use a prank desktop photo for my wife’s computer. :D

That's one of the grosser things I've seen. I had what I thought to be a good visual after reading your other thread, but this is way worse. No wonder all you guys threw up.

That's too bad Scubasarus. It's probably the main reason you didn't get any sharks to show up. If it was something that would have attracted sharks they would have been all over it and it wouldn't have had a chance to decompose like that. Sounds like your captain wasn't the sharpest knife in the draw. I hope you have better luck next time, if you get another opportunity this season.

It was arible arible I tell ya.

But the only way to cure this trauma is with a bit of humor. You guys seem be handling it OK. Heffey VideoJoe is not responsible for any frying pan injuries. I have to agree with MSilva.
