wow..

well, in my case, some of my buddies are dragging dead fish around, so I am often safer when they are not gracing me with their company.

But...the point is well taken that predators often pick off the loner.

So in 525 years of (sometimes dubliously) recorded shark attacks on divers in Florida, there have been, on average, 0.044 divers attacked each year. I'd say my chances are pretty good of NOT getting attacked.

Remember Mr. Clemens's statent: There are three kinds of lies; lies, damned lies, and statistics.

Nemrod:
My mom watched me real good, screaming and yelling for me to come up because a bull shark had come right up to the boat.

Oh, well, you know what, I forgot, my dad blew the s-b in half with a twelve gauge pump, I did not hear that either.

Your dad should feel SOOOOO proud of himself....One less viscious man eater in the water...

Statistically wise...You are more likely to be killed by a drink machine falling on you than be attacked by a shark. So watch out for those drink machines.....

So, now your going to pick on my 90 year old father. So, if you have a child and he is in the water with an aggresive acting shark, let's see what you do OK PC Pops. Maybe feed him some gumbie bears and ask him all friendly to go away, with your child right below him and oblivious to the shark bumping the boat. Oh, by the way, bulls sharks are known man eaters, people who live on the water understand the when and the when not of things. I will go with my dad's judgment over yours.

Lol, beyond that, whatever. N

What if we said that we dont know about the non-recorded. What if the ratio recorded/non recorded is 1:100? But we just dont know about the 100...?

I dont know, I am just putting that on the table.

I am with you on this Nemrod.... I would even jump in the water after blowing it to bits and cut out its puppies and feed that to other sharks...

Not so long ago we killed sharks as they were all evil, now we don't. So long ago someone shoots a shark becouse his kid is in the water near by and you feel a need to make a comment like that on the subject? Your stastic is pretty asinine too. Don't steal dirnk from the machine and they won't fall on you, don't go in the water and you won't get bit.
