I think I may start diving with a submersible machine gun - I know, I know, they don't exist.... yet! :rofl3:

Splash, Splash, You're Dead: The Military's Next-Gen Water Gun

Modern Firearms - APS underwater assault rifle

There is also a recently invented gun that fire projectiles with compressed air in them, which will obviously do some damage to humans as well as a shark. In real life, the chances of being hit by a shark are so low and if you were, you would probably not have any time to deploy and fire a weapon before you were chomped. I'm more worried about getting to the dive site alive through traffic than about anything to do with diving, especially sharks.

sharks don't eat divers. we give them really bad gas when that tank rusts in their bellies!

Dennis, are you the nice fella that loaned my girlfriend the SPG at Casino Point in January? if so, Thank you again!

so everyone says that a car accident is more likeley than a shark attack, but ive been hit 3 times in 2 montsh, none of them my fault. does that mean that im more prone to a shark attack :) hahaha just kidding. i miss u guys, i have finally built up my diving gear. i now have everything but the tank, regs and weights, and im hoping to get a job as a deckhand this summer!

Jeff,

If you have not seen a shark after all your spearfishing I think the rest of us are okay. Especially considering your kill would make a tasty shark treat. :sharkattack:

By the way I find it hard to believe hard to believe that Santa Barbara has more shark attacks than San Francisco.:shakehead:

you gotta figure that there are way more people in the water in SB then SF so its just odds? Looks like the sharks up north go for quality not quantity!!!!!
