Just wondering if any has read it and what you thought.... ?

I bought it for SO for his birthday... but managed to sneak off and read it prior to gifting it (how tacky is that!!). But really enjoyed it. Other opinions??

Loved it. I have to find time to stop in the bookstore to get The Last Dive too. I want to compare, I hear it's good too. (Just hate going in stores)

Amy, don't think of it as tacky. I think it's very thoughtful of you to take the time to preread the book so that as he reads it you're available for discussion and comment.

How thoughtful of you. (It's all in the perspective. I can twist anything around, just give me enough time and information. :D)

Fascinating book! In September I attended a lecture by the author, Robert Kurson, who goes into a lot of depth about the history of writing the book.

I havent read the shadow divers yet, but the last dive is a great yarn. It makes you realise that it can happen to anyone.

This is what I have to say about that!

Shadow Divers was great! Read it in one day. Also, if you're interested, John Chatterton hosts a show called Deep Sea Detectives on the History channel on Monday nights. Happened to read the book on a Monday, turned on the tele, flipped through the channels, and there he was.

The Last Dive is also very good. It took a little longer to get into it, but I couldn't put it down after a few chapters.

Definitely books worth reading.

By they way, you can buy both of them on www.amazon.com without ever leaving the house.
