Shading Ring Needed with Zen Port?

Hi folks,

Just received the Zen dome (thanks Ryan & Richard @ Reef Photo) for E-PL1 + 9-18mm. I had already bought the gear and shading ring. (Thanks Jack @ Optical Ocean Sales).

Do I still need to put the ring on when using the dome?
