For splits shots the bigger the dome the better
Acrylic is less durable but optically probably pretty close to glass
This would be a relatively inexpensive Nauticam option - Sony A7c/Nauticam.
I shoot the A7c with the 28-60 behind a WWL-1B wet lens (not good for splits). It's a fantastic stills camera - Mediocre for video - 8 Bit color, limited to 4k30
