Not only did I suffer through a regurgitation of Doria history that we've already read and abided your description of modern technical training but then you spent the weekend drinkingon Block Island?

At last count 6.99999999 billion people could write a book about not doing the Doria. Kudos for taking my money in the process.

I'm not a sensitive type guy but I think that was a very insensitive post.


I just finished the book, yea it took me a while. I don't have much free time to read. I thought it was a great book that deals as much about life as diving. I was very impressed with it and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone, especially my age (40's). It deals with taking risks, being rewarded, being disappointed, and growing up. That's things that we all deal with if we live long enough.

Why would you read the whole book if you didnt like it in the beginning. The only person you have to blame for losing 8 hours is yourself. I personally just started it and its pretty good so far.
