Any plans to add to the Apple Books store?

Yes, this is in work and Setting the Hook should be available in the Apple Store in about two weeks.
Thanks,
Peter

Is this not available for the Nook?

This is currently in work and Setting the Hook in Nook format should be available in about two weeks.
Thanks,
Peter

Personally, I’d rather have Peter Gimbal’s name on that black hole of a money pit than Sat System’s. In the end, both operations were colossal failures.

Hmmmm...just when I thought the sound of "Akimbo's Hole" was sounding good...!

In any event, the opening made for a "hole" lot of good times for many a subsea adventurer!

Best,
DSD

Any update on Nook availability?

The conversion of Setting the Hook to Nook, Sony, Kobo, and for inclusion in the Apple Store and B&N has been completed and is currently being reviewed by the publisher for correct formatting. The book should be available in the above formats and stores no later than the end of this week (but it could be sooner). Thanks for the interest and I will post if something changes and it looks like it will not be ready by Friday.

Setting the Hook is now available for Nook, iBooks, Kobo, Sony and other readers. It will take a few days to possibly a few weeks to show up on the Apple Store, Barnes and Noble, and other ebook retailers' menus, but it is available immediately through "Smashwords" at the below link.

The price and quality are identical at all of the outlets and Smashwords: in other words, the Apple Store and B&N get their electronic copy of Setting the Hook from Smashwords.

https://www.smashwords.com/signup

There is a very short sign up process for Smashwords. After one is signed up, simply search for "Setting the Hook," scroll down, and find the format that you wish to purchase.

Thank you for your patience and I appreciate your interest.

Just finished reading it on the Nook. What an excellent book! Very well written and engaging, which is not easy to do with non-fiction. Great ending chapters, you can feel the personal emotion in them. Also brought back some memories of hoisting a couple beers on Block Island as well :D .

For those who wish to approach Setting the Hook as a fresh read without fear of a "spoiler" review, here are vetted excerpts from the applicable professional reviewing agencies and magazines:

A deep-sea diver explores shipwrecks and his own character in this gripping scuba memoir…Hunt’s taut scenes and meticulous prose will have readers holding their breath, but his saga probes hidden depths as well. -Kirkus Reviews

…fascinating read of true adventure, very much recommended. -The Midwest Book Review

"Setting the Hook" is excellently written, well structured, and superbly proofed…fully delivered on the diving, adventure and technical fronts, but it was the human angle of the author's very personal journey that elevates this much recommended book. -C. H. Blickenstorfer, scubadiverinfo.com

…a book truly meant for everyone…heartfelt and inspiring story of diving, the fragility of life, and a reflection on our humanity.-Dive News Network Media Group, publishers of five regional print and electronic magazines

Peter Hunt’s engaging memoir…offers a thoughtful perspective of America’s wreck diving scene. -Simon Rogerson, British Sub Aqua Club
(BSAC) SCUBA Magazine

…a story of camaraderie, conflict, drama, success and failure in early technical diving, and also one man's personal struggle… thought-provoking…highly recommended. -Jesper Kjøller, DYK–The Scandinavian Dive Magazines

…the story of a wreck diving pioneer and the personal story of a man…a great diving book, but an even better people book. -Charles George, Wreck Diving Magazine

…enthralling personal account…gripping subplot. -Undercurrent Magazine, Editor’s Pick of the month

A “Must Pack” book for your next dive vacation. – Sport Diver Magazine
