lol you want bright colors, check out surfing back issues circa 1990. you WONT be dissapointed. Seriously i think as far as wetsuit design goes, the scuba industry seems to lag behind the surfing industry. Havn't been a diver for more then a year, but have been on a short board since 4th grade. Still have my oneil reactor spring suit in my closet from when i was 10, you want gaudy colors try teal, burgundy and silver, with some orange thrown in for good measure. I think body glove took the cake for flamboyant wetsuits, used to be all about neon blue and orange. And yes, if theres one good reason to avoid colors besides the shark debate, its fade resistance. find a surfshop that rents of sells used suits. That rack is where old suits go to play shuffleboard and watch matlock re-runs. Its depressing

Welp... I watched Mythbusters and they disproved the whole yellow for sharks theory - and ditto for all other colours. If I get eaten, I will be sure to let you all know.eyebrow
My "accessories" are all yellow, with the exception of my torch which is bright pink... my suit however is... black, neon orange, neon purle at the front, orange on the wrists with a neon yellow stripe, purple on the ankles and shins with a neon yellow stripe. You can see the orange in this pic while we were snorkling a couple of weekends ago. Oh yeah - no one every loses me...

If its not black throw it back I always say, sure you may look like a tasty seal thrashing around on the surface, but nothing impresses non-divers more than a total black scuba clad entity emerging from the surf.

Plus, black is "slimmin"

None of my stuff matches because I have been buying whatever is on sale for now. I bought a rental 3mm wetsuit in black and grey, bright teal Mares fins, a black and blue snorkel, and I just ordered a reversible black/hot pink and black neon yellow 6mm.
