Hey,

Has anyone tried servicing their own reg? Or must we always rely on our dive shop. Do they use really expensive equipment to do it I wonder???

Been doing it myself for 30 years, started on the old two hose regulators, it's not rocket science. Some regulators require special tools, usually they can be bought or and existing tool modified to work. If you can rebuild a lawnmower carburator and other household items you have the skills to rebuild regulators. Biggest problem is getting parts when they are needed.

I don't work on mine, but some guy named Vance does.
