Dear All, I hope you will enjoy this mini-series on venomous fishes of the Philippines which I put together with my friend and colleague at Silliman University (Philippines) Abner Bucol. Abner is an academic fish biologist who grew up in a fishing village, hence he brings together two strands of knowledge about marine fishes. I was excited to get him talking fish for my YouTube channel. He or his family and friends were stung by most of the animals qwe talk about!

This episode covers the very dangerous stonefish, and the rabbitfish plus lionfish:

We discuss the venomous striped eel catfish here. I wasn't aware that it's that venomous!

This video features a case report of a stone fish sting. The patient didn't do so well for a few days....
